Yleiskatsaus
Musandam is the piece of Oman separated from the rest of it, and the reason to go is geological: limestone mountains dropping vertically into water so still it reflects them.
Three nights is the right length. A full day on a traditional dhow through Khor Sham, a mountain drive up Jebel Harim, and enough time in Khasab itself to see that it is a working town rather than a resort.
The dolphins are not guaranteed but they are close to it.
